Escape the Crowds
When you’re learning to kitesurf, a busy beach is not conducive for success. That’s why I prefer teaching at the Lyle sandbar, just 20 minutes east of Hood River. The scene is usually a lot quieter, with less kites on the water so you can focus without all the chaos you’ll find at the Event Site.
There’s no better place to take a kite lesson in the Columbia River Gorge!
Private & Group Kitesurfing Lessons
One-on-one lessons are the best way to learn kiteboarding. With more kite time and my attentive instruction, you’ll progress quickly by focusing on the skills you need to get up and riding.
Got a friend you want to take lessons with? Take a 3-hour group lesson and share kite time, learning through practice and observation.
There are no shortcuts in this sport, but by investing time and money in professional kitesurfing lessons, you’ll learn everything you need to know to stay safe while practicing this amazing sport!
Experience You Can Trust
With over 700 teaching hours and an IKO Level 2 Certification, I have experience you can trust to keep you safe on the water.
Although I call the Pacific Northwest home, I have kited all up and down the west coast. Kiting has led me to beautiful destinations such as Vancouver Island, Baja California, Tarifa, and Grand Cayman. After all this, I can still honestly say Oregon is my favorite spot to kitesurf. Between the Columbia River Gorge and the Coast, there is always wind blowing somewhere!
At $330 for a 3 hour lesson, this is one of the best deals you’ll find for kitesurfing lessons in Oregon. Cost includes gear and safety equipment. I have a limited selection of wetsuits, so please inquire beforehand or be prepared to bring your own.
